At the beginning of each month, we spotlight a staff-favorite book that meets our objective of thoughtfully sharing stories to help our audience experience their world in a smarter, healthier, and happier way.
January’s Book of the Month is:
Everything is Figureoutable

What is it?
From the host of the award-winning MarieTV and The Marie Forleo Podcast, an indispensable handbook for becoming the creative force of your own life.
While most self-help books offer quick fixes, Everything is Figureoutable will retrain your brain to think more creatively and positively in the face of setbacks. In the words of Cheryl Strayed, it’s “a must-read for anyone who wants to face their fears, fulfill their dreams, and find a better way forward.”
If you’re having trouble solving a problem or reaching a dream, the problem isn’t you. It’s that you haven’t yet installed the one belief that changes everything.
Marie’s mom once told her, “Nothing in life is that complicated. You can do whatever you set your mind to if you roll up your sleeves. Everything is figureoutable.”
Whether you want to leave a dead end job, break an addiction, learn to dance, heal a relationship, or grow a business, Everything is Figureoutable will show you how.
You’ll learn:
• The habit that makes it 42% more likely you’ll achieve your goals.
• How to overcome a lack of time and money.
• How to deal with criticism and imposter syndrome.
It’s more than just a fun phrase to say. It’s a philosophy of relentless optimism. A mindset. A mantra. A conviction.
Most important, it’s about to make you unstoppable.

What are our thoughts?
Get this book.
I’ve read a few self help books at this point and Everything is Figureoutable has been the absolute best one. Granted, I’m a bit boded because I’ve been a fan of Marie’s and have been listening to her podcast for some time now. But she does such a wonderful job speaking directly to you, the reader.
I don’t think any other book I’ve read has made me feel like I was the specific audience. It get like Marie was directly addressing me, my wounds, my hopes and dreams. It was a beautiful experience.
Besides giving her advice, she also included some writing activities at the end of each chapter. Usually, I would only mentally do such tasks. This time, however, I felt compelled to actually do them. What an experience.
I have had such an emotional reaction to each chapter in this book, that I have to believe I was meant to read it.
Please get this book. Please. I firmly believe that if more people read it, they would be happier and kinder.
In any case, remember…
EVERYTHING IS FIGUREOUTABLE!

Why should you read it?
Welcome to a new year and new decade! I wanted to start this year’s Book of the Month series strong and so chose a book that has been very beneficial to me.
If you don’t already know, Mary Forleo is a coach, entrepreneur, podcaster, host of her own webseries, writer, and so much more. Definitely check out her website and podcast (The Marie Forleo Podcast) for some great guidance and advice.
As mentioned in the above “What are our thoughts?” section. this is one of the best self help/improvement books I’ve yet to read. Instead of just telling you the ideal way to live, Marie gives you actionable tips as well as written homework at the end of almost every chapter. Normally I’d skip over any prompts like these but, after taking the time to actually do the exercises, realized how powerful they are.
My favorite part about Marie’s book (as well as her other content) is how compassionate her voice is. I truly felt like she was writing specifically for me with the language she used. It was almost as if I could feel a kind and compassionate energy in each page.
As it is the beginning of a new year (and decade), many people (including myself) are taking time to purposefully and consciously chart out our hopes, desires, and goals for the year and decade to come. This book will give you all the tools to do this.
Most importantly, it will help instill in you the beautiful affirmation that “Everything is Figureoutable”.
