Minimum Wage Should Be Higher, But…

The minimum wage ought to be higher, but not under current antibusiness antilabor conditions!

While most multinationals are making record earnings with few hirings, most small businesses are struggling to make ends meet due to high costs and weak demand. Raising the minimum wage now would threaten jobs of current minimum-wage earners and minimize job opportunities for high school and college students.

America was regarded a worker’s paradise during the Clinton Years, because unemployment was low and employers had to satisfy their workers with better compensation and benefits.

Conditions are much different today! We need pro-business policies and fiscal discipline to return to an era of prosperity and fiscal responsibility for all of us!
